Honoring our Soldiers

On Saturday, Chris, Andrew and Journee, along with their squadron and a few other groups, braved the 20-ish degree weather and laid beautiful Christmas wreaths on over 1,000 graves at the Chattanooga National Cemetary. There were many decorated military men and women at the ceremony and it truly gave you that huge patriotic feeling. All 3 kids talked about how they were so glad they did this wonderful act of service for their country and how proud they felt. They had to salute each grave as they lay the wreath; that's a lot of saluting. Truly, it was a wonderful event, but more importantly, these kids are learning how to honor those who have fought to keep us free. I am very proud of you guys!

That brings tears to my eyes! I'm happy that they are loving Civil Air Patrol.
